Mission
Spinal Cord Injury Foundation (SCIF) seeks to enable those living with a spinal cord injury (SCI) to become independent and employable through further education.
This is done by providing:
Established: Founded in August of 2012, SCIF is a registered non-profit and approved by the Internal Revenue Service as a 501 (C) (3) tax-exempt organization, and all donations are tax deductible to the extent provided by law.
This is done by providing:
- Educational scholarships to develop a skill set which can be used in a career
- Mentoring to scholarship recipients who can use advice and assistance in transitioning to a career after an SCI
- Awareness of the challenges of having an SCI and prevention of future accidents
