Blake Heidenreich
In July 2006, while attending the University of Michigan, Blake trajectly broke his neck in a diving accident. With broken C3 and C4 vertebrae, he was initially paralyzed from the shoulders down and on a ventilator. Beyond all odds, with only the assistance of a strait cane, Blake walked out of the hospital four and a half months later.
Returning to campus in December of 2006, Blake slowly worked his way back into school. After graduating from the Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan in 2009, Blake joined Deloitte Consulting as a Business Analyst. With travel projects under his belt, Blake then moved to a local role as an Account Executive for New Business at Google in Ann Arbor, Michigan.
With a passion to help others and serve those with spinal cord injuries, Blake founded the Spinal Cord Injury Foundation in 2012. His efforts are now focused on growing the foundation in support of others with a spinal cord injury. Blake is pursuing an MS from the School of Natural Resources and Environment at the University of Michigan, focusing on Sustainable Systems and renewable energies. He is also a Partner and Co-Founder of Troy Capital Management, LLC, where as a hedge fund it aims to provide a superior investment return to its limited partners.
Blake currently lives in Ann Arbor, Michigan.
